Decided my new house is cursed for Christmas

That’s it really, I’m giving up with Christmas, or just not tell the house.

this is our 3rd year in our bungalow.

year 1 - got covid so really ill over Christmas and so no one could visit, heated some soup for lunch which DH managed and I tried. All in all not a good Christmas

year 2 - son in a car accident coming down Christmas Eve, no one hurt just shook up AA took him and the family home along with the broken car but that meant it was late Christmas Eve and no way or getting them here so they decided to spend it at home and make do with my DS1 fetching them Boxing Day. DS1 went down with a bug Christmas Day so that didn’t happen either didn’t see anyone until new year ! While all this was going on DD was in hospital with MH issues she had been sectioned on the 19th so we were worried sick about her too

year 3 - this year, DD doing well and home with us, DS1 Christmas Day with PIL, DS2 Christmas Day with PIL so big party Boxing Day. Fridge full of food etc, DH went down with a tummy bug yesterday, DD and me overnight. DS2 has just called to say all 3 children are throwing up.

what will next year bring I wonder 😭😭😭😭

Sorry OP sounds like a bad run of luck. I think you have to put aside the Covid/seasonal illnesses as everyone gets those. I’m always happy when I get them the week or two before Christmas so it’s out the way!

Year 2 sounds horrendous though. I’m really glad to hear DD is doing better though ❤️ can you delay Christmas until you are all feeling better?
