No I'm not a burglar 😅
Just curious and looking for inspiration as kids get older!

Currently it's under our ottoman bed which has a ridiculously heavy mattress on it so no chance can they lift that.

In a spare bedroom and lock it too.

Unescorted · 24/12/2024 11:37

In the laundry in a bag hooked up next to bags of rags and cleaning stuff. They will never look there.... Almost 23 and 20.

MuggleMe · 24/12/2024 11:38

In the wardrobe, but it's the bit by the wall so I put a box in front piled with not yet dirty clothes and you can't get in.

EarlofShrewsbury · 24/12/2024 11:41

My mums loft.

spottydinosaur · 24/12/2024 11:49

We have a bedroom & bathroom on the top floor the kids are not allowed up to.

They're in the bathroom with the door locked using a £1 coin from the outside!

No idea when I'm going to wrap them in the next 18 hours!

UnravellingTheWorld · 24/12/2024 11:50

On top of the wardrobe in the spare room (couple of boxes in front of them as camoflague). Next year it won't be a spare room so will need to find a new spot!

Manchesterbythesea · 24/12/2024 11:53

Ds11 is out with Dh this morning so I have finished wrapping and moved everything up to the sunroom. We don’t use it in winter, it’s full of junk anyway! I’ve locked the door and taken the key out though just in case.

Pineapplewaves · 24/12/2024 11:56

Put them in the loft, get them out to wrap when DC are at school then put them back up again. DP will get them down tonight when DC are asleep and they go straight under the tree.

I4gotmyname · 24/12/2024 11:59

In the cupboard under the stairs. And the heigh cupboards that I can't reach

MovingToPlan · 24/12/2024 12:03

We have these giant cupboards high up in the downstairs loo that nobody can reach without a stepladder, including teens, so most are hidden there. The cupboards are empty anyway, so nobody even thinks to open them. We also have storage under the built in seating under the bay window, again a place nobody uses or looks at, so that's my backup spot.

This is our first year in this house, so we'll see how it goes!

MissyGirlie · 24/12/2024 12:13

When the DC were small we had a cupboard in our bedroom which went round under the attic stairs. DH's clothes were in the way, and the DC rarely came into that room if we weren't there, They never found a damn thing, so far as I know.

Mummyto2littleones · 24/12/2024 12:20

Our neighbour has kindly stored them all in their spare bedroom. We will transfer back very quietly tonight when the children are in bed.
