Awful dental pain and going away tomorrow :(

Just a vent really. Awake for the third night in a row with an infected wisdom tooth extraction, since antibiotics the infection has calmed down but now the site is causing excruciating ringing pain through my whole jaw up to my ear and eye. I've had dry socket before and it's the same symptoms.

111 refusing to refer me to a dental nurse to go back to dental A&E.
I told dental A&E about the pain and they said it was anxiety.
I'm supposed to be going away tomorrow for Christmas with DCs and can't even think straight with the pain...

I don't understand why it's so impossible. Three years ago I had the other wisdom tooth taken out and pain/infection was ignored for days by 111, A&E and emergency dentist until it went septic and I almost died. Now I'm having extreme pain which is also completely ignored.

I'll be getting the kids up and ready to go away for Christmas tomorrow...feel like I'm being stabbed with an ice pick...

I am so sorry, Inhave horrid teeth and completely understand how bad the pain is. It isn’t going to miraculously disappear either, so
I never understand why patients get fobbed off-it’s not like we want to go back to dental A&E!!

Is it worth ringing 111 back now (it will hopefully be quite quiet at this time) and tell them that you have dry socket and it needs seeing today as it is the last day you can access medical help? Be very firm and insist that you are seen (hard to do but important).

I had mine taken out three years ago and ended up with a haematoma. The pain was like something I have never experienced, and they were all so blasé about I couldn’t speak and could barely breathe by the time I got seen.
