Missing item of food

ordered a seafood delivery from a fishmonger in Cornwall (trying to be ethical). Delivered today. Husband received box, box was full to brim. We did not receive a side of salmon which cost £60. There would have been no room in box for that, dpd driver shows evidence as only one box being delivered.

the company is now closed for Christmas but I can see they were posting on social media so sent a message, which has gone unread/ unanswered.

i can pop to shops for s replacement in morning as was for a family meal tomorrow but am Concerned they will not refund. Any thoughts on what to do here please?

Take extensive photo/video of the box full of their produce. And email again.

Thanks. Perhaps the delivery firm is at fault I guess but am nervous at lack of response despite them being online…

My assumption would be that of course they will refund you. I think assuming they won't is unfair at this stage. Mistakes happen. As the previous poster says, take plenty of pics.

Weigh it? There should be a record of what it weighed when it went to the delivery company .

assumption possibly unfair but am nervous at lack of response .

The social media posts are probably scheduled so get posted without a human hitting a button.

It's up to the retailer to refund / replace by law.
They employed the delivery company.
