I did Caroline Girvan's Iron and my knees

feel like they've had it.

I've done 1.5 rounds of the Iron series and I love it. But the area above and around my knees now feel so sore and weak and tender. It's not the knee cap area.

It's been a month now. I'm 53. Should I just accept my knees can't take the lunges and squats etc? I find them so beneficial to my strength and shape though.

I'm gutted. I found something that works and now I can't do it.

I’m 40 and I can’t do her squat/lunge workouts. She does too many! My knees just would survive off I kept in with her series.

Lunges and squats done correctly shouldn’t hurt your knees.

I do her workouts, I'm 57 so more aware of knee damage but I wear knee supports when working out, have done for a few years now. Try those perhaps, see how you get on
