Here we go 😂

now he’s off and out of the dressing gown with a carrier bag of medicine (lempsip, cough bottle, paracetamol and he’s asking me can he take it with him?)

he’s off to church with his mother 😂😂😂😂😂

Why is he going to church to spread his lurgy around the congregation right before Christmas?!

This!

Yeah there's going to be loads of oldies in church. Not ideal.

VanillaImpulse · 22/12/2024 09:20

I hope he's not taking both paracetamol and lemsip!

Mashroom · 22/12/2024 09:21

Omg… half asleep and didn’t think of this. I have rang him go come back. Thank you (it is an anniversary mass so he felt obliged but the right thing to do is not go)

thanks again

The bag was probably for a bit of sympathy I think .. he probably won’t take any as he usually doesn’t

Yes great spread it everywhere. I spent the whole morning with a friend yesterday who today informs me that he now has flu and my throat is all scratchy 🙄

Mumsnet was the first place I'd ever heard of 'the dressing gown of doom'. It was a few years ago and it was a was a hilarious post by someone who was describing her dp being ill. The thing that tipped it for me into uncontrollable laughter was her superb description of him shuffling self-pityingly around, elbows pulled in with T-Rex tiny arms 🤣

Mashroom · 22/12/2024 09:48

Hope you feel better soon Gettingby

I'm wearing the "hoodie of hypochondria" at the moment and have my codeine and antibiotics.

I may just "shuffle off" in a bit for a shower with a big grunt thrown in for good measure.
