What have I done to my foot?

Yesterday I was on my feet for 4 hours baking and decorating Christmas biscuits and cleaning the kitchen in between. At night my left foot felt sore as in sore from being on my feet all day. I had slippers on all day.

This morning it was still very sore and throughout the day it has been getting worse. Now I cannot put any weight on it, it's so sore. I'm sat with my foot resting on a hot water bottle but not helping.

The pain is up at the ball of my foot to left hand side. Not sure what I have done :( no injury to it, nothing fell on it and haven't went over it.

What have I done to my foot?

Plantar facisitis. Put a water bottle in the freezer and roll your foot over it

Also look up Morton's Neuroma on the off chance. And yes, go for ice rather than heat. Ditch the slipper and put on your most supportive trainers.

Had a look and doesn't sound like that, thank you for your suggestion though :)

Got the frozen peas out now and a water bottle in the freezer overnight!

I’d go for this too. Stupidly painful. Ice helps more than heat.
Possible your slippers made it flare up, especially if they’re thin, soft? I have to wear gel insoles in everything including slippers which I rarely wear as they make my feet ache so much.

Shame. As most people haven't heard of it and it sounds really serious, it a good one to have up your sleeve a bit of an excuse for something! They don't know it's a bit of a foot condition.

And it’s worth buying some gel filled packs you can freeze or heat. Even frozen they’re still slightly flexible so you can almost mould them to your foot. Or neck. Or back ( I use them a lot!)

Peas are making it ache but will persevere for 20 minutes and take some ibuprofen before bed. It's even sore when it's elevated.

I had my crocs slippers on. Don't usually have issues with them, but maybe time to ditch them and get a firm and supportive pair.

My husband has a gel one in the freezer for migraines so I'll use that too :)

Google massage for P. F. I was advised to do this and it worked.

I find crocs one of the best things to wear so may not be those. Might be worth you getting a proper diagnosis after Christmas just to make sure then you can go from there. Hope you get some relief soon.
