I have had a cold for a week, for past few days my head (sinuses) felt really heavy, clogged up, sneezing, runny nose. How do I shift it? Please help with your advise!
I should be taking walks with my DC, baking Christmas cookies, etc, instead everything is taking 3 times longer, I feel like shit, kids spalent last 2 days having far too much screen time.

Loads of sleep and loads of water.

Exactly this.
I take a night time cold / decongestant tablet for as long as I'm too stuffy to lie flat, it also helps you sleep well, helps with aches & pains.
Loads of fluids, daytime decongestant if you must work.
Feel better soon 0P!

Garlic and ginger tea. Lots of recipes about and worth a try. I have a relative who's into herbs and she swears by it, anti viral, anti inflammatory etc.

Antihistamines, painkillers and garlic! Lots of garlic!

Loads of high potency Vit c. I take 2-3000mg a day when I have a cold, after a couple of days I have loads of energy and symptoms start retreating.
Also garlic, ginger, ibuprofen, lots of fluids and I use steam to decongest and neti pots to get phlegm and snot shifting.

Thank you all! I didn't realise I had replies until late last night. Thankfully I'm feeling much better now. Finally can crack on with housework and entertaining kids.
Lemsip did not seem to make any difference. I drank lots of hot tea (herbal), I didn't have lemon or ginger at home. I must buy som tomorrow.

Antihistamine to dry it up, lemon & honey in hot water to drink with paracetamol.Hot water with Vic’s vapour rub added in a bowl, breathe in the steam with a towel draped over your head & the bowl to trap the steam.
