DP has come back from work and is behaving as though he has Spanish flu, if not the Plague. He has no discernible symptoms of illness apart from a mournful tone of voice. It's making me itch with irritation. He's lying on the sofa with one hand dramatically flung over his forehead like an old Victorian woman who needs her smelling salts. Arghhh. Anyone else similarly affected??

Disclaimer - if he really were ill then I would be the one in the Victorian role, channelling Florence Nightingale.

Ill people should go to bed. Not on the sofa being dramatic in the middle of everything

Gracelet · 20/12/2024 20:37

Well exactly. He's huffing and groaning but not going to bed 🙄

Is he shuffling yet? When they lose the ability to walk and need to mournfully shuffle you know it's terminal.

My DH was teasing me for feeling so awful after a bout of vomiting (unsupportive shit!) then haha the same evening he was struck down at which point I reminded him of what he had said. Shuffling, wailing here too

And it continues today. Lots of groaning and talking about how ill he is/was, very woe is me. Surely this bug will be over soon and the teeth itching irritation will go away??
