“Video games are for kids”

If you hold this opinion, why? I’m 33 and have been a gamer since Windows 98 was new. I own a PS5 and acquired my mums custom gaming PC when she passed away. I’m fed up of my MIL telling me I’m too old to be playing games and that it’s for kids Xmas Hmm I’m a SAHM so I get to game a bit during the school day, and a couple of evenings a week. Nothing suffers because of it, everything in the house gets done. I just don’t understand why a lot of people have problems with adult gamers?!

Completely agree. I hate those women who say "I could never date a man who games"

Myself and DH are gamers, we have two children and I work full time, we're not sat in front of screens 24/7 to neglecting our home/children. Some people choose to sit in from of the TV and watch soaps in the evening, some people read, others enjoy to actually do something that actively engaged your brain.

What games do you enjoy? I'm currently really into HellDivers & Tunic. I bought the PS5 pro a couple of weeks ago as well, it's incredible, especially the ray tracing however I do think it's overpriced personally

I think a lot of people haven't done much gaming themselves and so don't get it. I'm not a gamer but DH is. I think it's a great hobby with a bad image - brilliant for problem solving, special reasoning etc.

I rotate between quite a few! My favourites are RDR2, absolutely stunning game, I’ve completed it a few times! Hogwarts Legacy, Skyrim, a few different Assassins Creed ones, and then if I’m feeling like I want something easy then Disney Dreamlight Valley, House Flipper and Slime Rancher (which is 100% a kids game but I love it 🤣)
