Which phone best for photos - or camera?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a mobile phone that takes good photos (photos that are good enough to print, good in low light, and good with moving objects - children & pets, and also point & shoot rather that having to mess with lots of settings!)
Samsung S23/24 and Pixel 8/9 look like they might be suitable for my needs - but I don’t want to make an expensive mistake.

I’ve considered that a camera might be better. My budget for a camera would be a max if £900 though, and cameras seem to mainly be much more expensive than that these day.

Any advice welcome, Thanks!

I have a Samsung s21 ultra and the camera beats the pants off any other phone on the market. Dh has the standard d21 and it pails in comparison.

If you look on backmarket.co.uk they have some excellent refurbishment deals. I am 2 years in on my current one (this is my second of same model) and I wouldn't swap.

As an example, we were probably about 150ft from the stage at the Becky Hill Concert and the stage she is stood on was moving..this is taken on my phone

@Ihatelittlefriendsusan Thanks for the reply and the sample photo, that’s really helpful.
If you took a photo of eg. an animal walking stood a few feet away from it, does it freeze frame the animal well, or do they have blurry legs and a fuzzy outline?

No fuzzy or blur as long as you adjust the zoom correctly
