I think my period is late

It's suddenly dawned on me that my period hasn't arrived this month. I'll admit that I never track my period, and don't really think too much about them but I'm sitting in the car waiting to pick up my 14 yr old daughter from dance and I've started to think about the fact ghat my period hasn't arrived. It's normally here around the beginning of the month but I'm not even getting any twinges. I'm completely not prepared to be having scares like this at 43 🤪

I'm not going to mention anything to DH because he will panic, he's away on business at the min so timing wouldn't be right. Help

Unlikely to be pregnancy as the first port of call at 43 but still possible of course. A pregnancy test is the only way to know for sure.

Can you date your last period even roughly? Sometimes I lose track and then track it by remembering where I was and what I was doing during the last one. Can you stop for a test on the way home?

I know it should so ridiculous but I honestly can't remember. I haven't been doing anything overly exciting that would highlight a timeline. It would be a massive shock if I was pregnant, the finances would take a blow as I've just started a new temporary job. I'm using birth control so I'm sure it's just a bit later than normal.... or maybe it's the start of menopause 🫣
