International Postage Stamps discontinued?

I just tried to post some Christmas cards that are going out of the country and the person in the post office said they don't do international stamps anymore, only those huge printed labels. So before I could even say anything he'd stuck them on my envelopes and it looks awful. Usually I wouldn't mind but I really love how Christmas Cards look, I buy Christmas stamps, emboss the envelopes, best handwriting for the address etc. So I am irrationally annoyed he just stuck massive stickers all over them. Is it true? Are there no more international stamps? I do realise this is first world problems, but I really love Christmas Cards.

The post office still sells stamps for international mail, and you can also have labels printed. You can buy international stamps online too. Maybe your local post office didn't order any stamps this year?

I bought international stamps last week, so they’re definitely available. If you were sending tracked or with insurance then the label is required. I can’t imagine how it would all happen “before you could say anything” tbh - I’ve yet to encounter post office counter service moving anything other than glacially, let alone going the extra mile and labelling all my envelopes in a split second!
