Do you ever get down that you're never the pretty one

Probably the wrong wording for my post but does anyone else get a bit fed up, down that they are never considered pretty or attractive or desired? Literally no body ever compliments me or gives me a second look. It makes me quite sad. I'm mean I don't want to have men throwing themselves at me as I walk down the street but it would be nice to be attractive to someone. I work in an office for around 40 females who all get along great and I often hear them talking about men buying them drinks, asking for phone numbers and generally getting chatted up. I just feel like I'm just always an unnoticed shadow in the background.

I know what you mean. The attention I get from men ranges from total indifference - looking through me as though I was a piece of furniture or a pot plant - to openly smirking at the idea anyone might chat me up. The indifference is preferable but still not great. I do make an effort but as the saying goes, you can't polish a turd.

I prefer being below average now. I used to be what was considered pretty and it brought a lot of unwanted male attention. Also found people assume I'm ignorant. Now I've had 3 kids and I'm saggy and fat I don't get any of that lol

I can really relate OP! I always try and make an effort and sometimes I look in the mirror and think i look ok but I never get attention by males..I have always envied women who get lots of attention. Unfortunately, it really affected my self esteem which then probably made me less approachable. Now I'm mid thirties, I'm kinda use to it.
