I'd like to see this but I don't live in London anymore and we have lots of great local theatre

Check out what's on at at NT when you're there

I used to love going to pub theatres in Islington when I lived there they were brilliant

Operation Mincemeat 🥸

RabbitsRock · 15/12/2024 09:04

Not sure about Only Fools & Horses as it’s a particularly “ British” show & they might not appreciate it, unless they’ve seen it on tv.

GretchenWienersHair · 15/12/2024 09:06

Is &Juliet still running? That was fantastic. Also Six, if it’s on still.

Longhotsummers · 15/12/2024 09:11

Moulin Rouge. It’s fantastic with great music and staging.

LIZS · 15/12/2024 09:11

natwalesrug · 15/12/2024 09:40

The choir of men .Teenagers would enjoy this .

Hohofortherobbers · 15/12/2024 09:52

Back to the future

HPandthelastwish · 15/12/2024 09:59

Lion King is spectacular

What do they want sparkle and dancing / comedy / drama?
Only Fools and Horses and Operation Mincemeat are very British

Hades Town is great - Greek mythology

Hamilton - highly sought after tickets American Revolution
you benefit about knowing about if first rather than going in cold

Moulin Rouge / Mamma Mia - they'll have seen on film adaptations

Cabaret / Book of Mormon is risqué and more grown up but great, BoM written by South Park crew

Phantom / Les Mis both great and classics to see

Six - short and sweet like a pop concert

skippy67 · 15/12/2024 10:24

This year me and 23yo dd have seen and loved
Matilda
Six
The Devil wears Prada. Dd's fave was Prada followed by Six.
I've also seen this year Book of Mormon, Choir of Man, and Hamilton with Dh. Loved Mormon, wasn't fussed about Hamilton. Choir if Man was good fun.

Moulin Rouge, great production and looks spectacular, but personally I preferred Prada.

Fluffymammoth · 15/12/2024 12:41

Thanks for all the great ideas, I had initially thought about Lion King but wasnt sure after looking at it that maybe it would be a bit young? they have never really seen a big show and are unlikely to be visiting again so wanted something special they will remember Moulin Rouge might also be an idea Back to the Future sounds good too ..so many choices!

Moulin Rouge then

pizzaHeart · 16/12/2024 00:14

We saw Six and while it was very impressive it was quite quick and you still needed to know some info for the references. It was also very short.
I would choose which topic was the most interesting for you.

BurgundyBear · 16/12/2024 00:21

Moulin Rouge is excellent
