A beautiful book for a 4 year old boy

I'm looking for a beautifully illustrated book for my son for Christmas. Any recommendations?

How about The Jolly Christmas Postman? I loved it as a child but neither of mine took to it, much to my disappointment.

Old bear stories. The illustrations are beautiful. There are different collections of stories but the hardbacks are lovely.

A Robert Sabuda pop up one, I'm deliberating over his night before Christmas... But if not then I would also agree with the Jolly Christmas Postman!

A First Book of Nature by Nicola Davies with Mark Hearld pictures is nice.

Oliver Jeffers has some lovely ones, hope to catch a star for example. Or more recent ones like What we'll build and Here We Are.

The Mousehole Cat has some of the most delightful illustrations and is a beautiful story.

I really love ‘Dream Snow’. It’s very simple, but not clichéd. It plays a little tune, but not an annoying one.

This is a beautiful book. It's called whale song.

Other books my children loved were the Katie Morag books. The illustrations were gorgeous as well.
