Can you help me choose a word for year?

Rather than setting New Year Resolutions I'd like to try finding a word for the year to make actions and intentions around.

I'm always in a hurry, always running to catch up with myself without catching a breath, always firefighting things in my life. Like most people I feel that modern life makes me race from one thing to another. In 2025 I want to slow down and have time to reflect and appreciate the life around me.

I'd really appreciate suggestions for words that will help me do this.

Reset, or recharge.

Do less, feel more.

Resilience
perspective
space
breathe
gratitude

The word that leapt out for me was space too. It's something I'm working on (not always effectively) but getting a little more in my life.

DS has themes for his year adventure and skills are two I remember.
What about relax?

Rest

Pause

Peace

or

Inner Peace if you want 2 words....

I'm striving for that, just calm inner contentment.

I've done this in years gone by. 'Reflect' or 'Slow' might suit? I think I'll do it again @Slicesofquince thanks for the reminder!

Next year is the year of ‘Putting Myself First’, not in a me me me kind of way, but I want to get better at setting boundaries, saying no to things I don’t want to do, thinks that actively disadvantage me, and taking care of my own wellbeing. I’m a chronic people pleaser and I want to learn to please myself first.

Breath.

Delegate 😬

I meant breathe not breath.

My word for last year was simply’forward’ so that it could encompass both the ‘one foot in front of the other’ times, and times when I was actively productive. I like the idea of a word like contentment or simply happy or something for next year though, because it’s been a toughie!
