Expensive package delivered to our house what do we do?

DH has had identity fraud on his account in the past few months, most purchases have been stopped reported to action fraud etc.
About 2 months ago we had a small package from American golf company delivered to our house (we’re not golfers and didn’t order it) no one was in at the time so package was left in the brown bin which was on the delivery information. About an hour after it was delivered 2 people arrived at our address and collected the package from the bin. I went to the police station and they weren't interested although I had number plate on my ring doorbell.
So today, I was expecting a few deliveries so didn’t think too much of it, and I was also on the phone having a meeting with someone when the door went with a DHL package, addressed to DH.
When DH got home and opened it, it was an e scooter! Again it’s not something we would order we have no use for it and don’t generally agree with them since a local girl suffered head injuries from being knocked over by one.
No suspicious cars have been to the house like last time.
we have checked all bank accounts nothing has gone out that shouldn’t have done.
There is no company on the box, so we can’t contact them, we’ve emailed DHL for more information about where it has come from.
do we inform 101?
where do we go from here?

Is he keeping an eye on his credit score for debt being added in his name?

That would alarm me.. the thought of Identity fraud gives me the Heebies, I can't imagine what its like when it happens.

Yes inform 101 and read up on ActionFraud website to see if there's any advice for your situation.

Contact the company and tell them your address is being used illegally

Just come off the phone with 101, they’re not interested.
I’ve just checked his credit history, there’s been a few soft searches no hard searches and no credit applied for, he is already on the cifas data base.
There is no company name on the label it’s come from a storage unit in Birmingham.
it’s a head scratcher!

What do you mean 'they're not interested'?

They have to take your report, even if they don't follow up.

Also report via ActionFraud.

Also via the delivery company.

101 said it was DHLs responsibility to collect and return it to sender. They won’t take a report or give out a crime number because no crime has been committed.
DH is going to contact action fraud tomorrow to see if they can add it to his file, but they were quite disinterested last time and just added his details to cifas.
it’s not the fraud as such I’m worried about it’s that they know our address and are using it to commit crime. And because this is quite a high value item, would they come to the door with weapons etc? I have 2 young kids.
