The alternative to mince pies is... what?

A group of us are providing drinks (soft and alcoholic) and mini mince pies after an event. We would also like to provide an alternative to mince pies recognising not everyone likes dried fruit. What would you say is the alternative? Budget is a consideration.

Some members have suggested chocolate biscuits- this doesn't feel like it "goes with " soft drinks and mulled wine.

Others have suggested chocolate brownies- I like the idea but probably tricky on this scale- catering for 40-50.

Struggling to think what the "go-to" mince pie alternative is. Thanks!

Bought some mince pies from Lidl that were raw, can't face another one.

The selection in my house is fruit cake with marzipan and icing (like Christmas cake but not as heavy) or battenburg.

Cheese Straws! Not everyone wants something sweet. Or cheese scones…

I agree, something savoury would go better with wine, cheese straws or savoury crackers and cheese perhaps.

Stollen. Slices of Pannetonne.

recognising not everyone likes dried fruit.

Then all the suggestions of stollen or Christmas cake are not going to work!

Apple pies or jam tarts? They look like mince pies at least,
