Is anyone here obese and able to breathe through nose while sleeping?

My mouth breathing at night is causing me problems but I'm struggling to breathe through my nose for long periods of time. I wonder if it's due to my weight. Wondering if anyone breathes through nose if overweight?

My dh's weight yo-yos, he only snores when he is in a heavier period. Obviously that's only circumstantial evidence!

My snoring cleared up as soon as I lost weight and I can now breathe through my nose. I have a slightly deviated septum so one nostril is noticeably easier than the other but they're both clear now despite that, and also despite the polyps in my sinuses due to allergies but the weight loss has made a huge difference.

Yes I am obese and am all about the nose breathing! I have used one of those nostril expander things in the past but generally only need that if I’m stuffy/have a cold.

Nose breathing is so good for you for many reasons, the obvious being air warming and filtration, but also the sinuses produce nitric oxide which is a vasodilator meaning your organs all get a better oxygen supply 😯 I just think that is mega cool. Obviously all those benefits are bypassed if you mouth breathe. Lots of other positives too!
