Dull question about tea towels, oven gloves and oven mitts!

We're in the habit of using tea towels to take hot things out of the oven. It means all our tea towels end up stained. What kind of oven mitts or gloves would help us break the tea towel habit?

Whenever we've had gloves before, we find it too much of a faff to put them on when you can just grab a tea towel. Those little silicone things that look like a duck beak are good but they don't hang up, so end up in a drawer and are not to hand when needed.

Does anyone make something like a tea towel that is heat resistant?

🥱 I've almost bored myself with this question so thank you if you engage.

We use large silicone oven gloves. And they do hang up

We have fabric oven gloves, nothing fancy (one was a gift from a tourist attraction, think the other is from John Lewis) but the key is that they are hung in a more convenient spot than the tea towels! So we just automatically reach for them rather than crossing the kitchen to the sink where the TTs are.

What about the scarf looking ones that have a hand povketveach end that you can either hang or put drapecon oven handle?

Tea towels specifically for taking hot things out of the oven. Preferably in a dark colour. Other tea towels specifically for being a tea towels. Hot things tea towels lives draped over oven door handle.

Silicon mitts that have a fabric wrist section with a hook to hang them are good. We have them hanging on a cupboard door near the oven and use them all the time.

Well that is altogether a too sensible suggestion 😃I suspect this is what we will end up doing. The problem is it's a double oven so a teatowel hanging on the handle of the oven, gets trapped in the bottom door. Perhaps a dark coloured tea towel that is smaller than usual.

I find them too rigid to get hands around dishes.

We have two of these:

Large, don't get hot, have a loop to hang up.

I hate the little square ones or the long ones where you have a hand in each side, pointless if you only need one glove.

The tea towels and cleaning cloths go on a 95° wash with aerial once a week. It removes the stains and prevents stinky washing machine.

It also helps to put things on a large baking tray so that the tea towels don't come into contact with spills and drips. Also dishes with handles.

We use our hand towel which is black 😀

We have a Rayburn so the lids of the hotplate have Chefs Pad covers. I make my own, and the most successful I have from a black fabric with a colourful pattern on - the black doesn't show ANY burnt / stain marks, and the pattern hides any spill marks. I got white sauce on one on Tuesday and only noticed it yesterday.
I have added my own loops for hanging, and also have magnets sewn in so I can slap it on the side of the Rayburn if in a rush.
