Possibly daft question… how do you order tapas?

We’re going to a tapas place for Christmas work do tonight and neither me nor my husband have ever been. Tapas is the one with lots of tiny dishes, right? Just want to be prepared 😅

Tapas without a set menu and a big group is v expensive and difficult to organise. Each item eg meatballs comes with say 3 pieces so you need ten dishes for everyone to get one meatball and Sarah down the other end has three so two people don't get one.

You simply have to let that grudge against Sarah go!

We have an all you can eat tapas place nearby.15.99 pp and we make full use of it. They ask you order 3 items pp at a time so no waste but gives us the chance to try everything.

Must have patatas bravas

Waste of a dish if its a 3 for £x the potato's will cost them pennies to make

@LemonyChicken Yeah but even if there's a good margin on it for the restaurant it's still usually the best bit of tapas 🤷‍♀️

Update! Last night went really well, it was kind of a set menu, it was just a smaller selection of things from the main menu. There were about 20 items on it and we had to pick 8 dishes, which worked out quite well as there were 9 of us so everyone but the boss ordered one thing each, and they brought out 2-3 of each dish. DH really surprised me and he ate a REALLY spicy chicken skewer and enjoyed it 🤣

And I’m sure you’ll be thrilled to know @Onthesideofthespiders that no-one ordered patatas bravas 🤣

Disagree. I can make them at home if I wanted

Glad you had a good night OP

Give up the patatas bravas campaign now, folks, it's over. Move on
