WWYD - child vomiting bug and me going away for weekend

DS12 woke self up last night vomited everywhere. Had said earlier that they felt a bit weird but otherwise fine. Feels like a bug rather than something he ate.

I'm supposed to go away tomorrow morning for a weekend with friends. DH can look after DS, but the issue is what if I come down with it 200 miles away? I'm also the driver!

Would you risk it? Should I? Chances are I might not get it even get it, but if I do... and the others are then at risk of it too?

I've been so looking forward to this weekend, booked it months ago.

Go and enjoy yourself

There's less of a chance of you catching it as he's older. Also could be something he ate. Go enjoy

Would you say anything to the people you're going with? Or just wing it??

I do wish I wasn't the driver now as be easier feeling sick as the passenger with a bucket!

Oh.... a bucket ( shudder)!

If you're asking WWYD, I would definitely cancel.

Norovirus ( V-bug) is highly contagious.
You can still spread the virus for 2 wks, or longer, after you feel better.

Every time one of my 3 DCs got it, I came down with it within 24 hrs., and vice versa; nasty.

If you're the driver, that makes it even more difficult should you, and possibly some of your friends, get it over the wknd.

I wouldn't risk it, but If you go, good luck ☘to you; it's a gamble and you may not get it.
