Best bin bags (boring!)

Sorry for the very boring post! Any suggestions for good bin bags that don’t leak or rip? Have tried Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose and they all split very easily!

I use the Beast ones, I buy from Tesco and they're a game changer. Pricy though 😬 But worth it I guess as you don't need to double up!

StormingNorman · 02/12/2024 17:44

Another Beast fan. I had to just check what they were called - they’ve always been “the ones with the teeth”.

RolyPolyOll · 02/12/2024 17:47

Oooh I have never tried!! How expensive are they? I use a lot of bags - two babies!

Same! I had to google 'monster bin bags' 😂

I think £4.95 at my local Tesco (express) though I stocked up when they were on sale! (£3.50)

Buffalo brand from Home Bargains, again they aren't particularly cheap but very thick and you get loads on a roll.

I’ve ordered some to try and am excited - although that does make my life sound very dull!!

I use the beast ones too! and a brand called Hero are excellent if you need bigger ones
They're embossed with a " bubble wrap" sort of texture and incredibly strong
It pains me to spend as much but I have to carry my bin bag to a communal area and would rather avoid one splitting

FuckItItsFine · 02/12/2024 23:07

I couldn't be without my Kirkland extra large drawstring bin liners.

Edited to add I love them because they’re not attached to each other so no finding the join and ripping required.

Yes! We have to carry ours through the living room from the back area where they’re stored so would rather no splitting/bin juice(!) over the living room floor 🙈😩

Costco bin bags. No other bin bags compare to them.

crazycatladie · 02/12/2024 23:13

M and s bin bags

EveryDayisFriday · 02/12/2024 23:14

Costco. You could bury dead bodies in those. The roll is so thick that it lasts for years.

Someone you know must be a member, I'm always picking stuff up for friends or taking someone with me!

Bacofoil Elastifit every time!

It's such a pleasure to put one in and not struggle to get it to stay in place. And then for it to gather up nicely when full, without tearing.

Genuinely life changing (and I'm aware that makes me sound utterly tragic!)

Fgfgfg · 03/12/2024 00:04

Another vote for Costco.

Interested how you know this. Wink

I genuinely didn’t think there would be anything as good as Beast but I’m going to have to try some of these. I like the sound of the Kirkland ones - finding the joins is such a ballache.

FaceLikeACrackedScreen · 03/12/2024 07:39

Simple human - sized exactly for the bin. Haven’t had one split in ten years of using them.

You can subscribe to Beast bags. They assess how many you use, suggest a time-scale for delivery (e.g., a box of 10 rolls every 4 months), and bob's your uncle.
So very much cheaper than buring individual rolls too. Order can be bought forward/held back etc..
Love them

user1471505356 · 03/12/2024 08:06

Store the bin bags in the bin's bottom so you never have to go looking.

RolyPolyOll · 03/12/2024 20:13

I bought some beast bags from Tesco and they are brilliant! So strong and no far no leaks. Win win! Thank you Mumsnet!
