Help! Photos have vanished from SD card - why?

Took some photos today. Clicked on the 'view' button so I could scroll through and see what's I had taken. All looked fine. Got home and put the SD card in my laptop to view the photos and they have all vanished!!

Is there any way I can get them back? There are no 'hidden' files on the card.

Have saved all the other photos on the SD card in case it is corrupted.

So annoying!

Can you see them if you put the SD card back in the camera? If so they've not vanished. Is the computer recognising the SD card? Can you move a file onto it and see that file?

Either the SD card is corrupted, the computer SD card reader isn't working or more likely it's just having a blip. Try turning it off and back on again.
