What to do in the evenings

I'm so bored with life. I'm looking for ideas for things to do in the evening. I live alone.

I mainly watch TV, I read a little, do a little bit of sewing, I've tried paint by numbers. I'm dieting so nothing food related please.

Any suggestions welcome.

I go to a weekly dance class, have recently joined a local community choir, and belong to a hobby group that meets once a month.

Pop along to your local library - there is usually a notice board with all sorts of local things going on, or join the facebook group for your town or village.

Any local clubs to join, or committees where you could be useful?

I'm on the committee of a local children's charity, which means one evening meeting a month. Not thrilling, but very useful. People hang about for a social chat afterwards.

I go bell-ringing two evenings a week, two different churches. It's not an expensive hobby (I shove a tenner in each bell fund once a month), and there will be people willing to help you learn from scratch. (Also, no need to go to church, no one expects the ringers to go to the service.)

I had to read this twice, as thought you meant you go door to door, ringing peoples door bells to raise money for a church! 😆

Ha! No, we just disturb the neighbourhood for an hour or two.

I’ve recently joined my local choir. It’s really good fun.

Library - a good browse, have a chat with the staff who usually make me a brew and get some books out
Ancestry
Batch cooking
Long baths

In summer I meet up with a group for outdoor swimming and a walk. They still meet in winter but I don't do dipping in ice!
