Useful gifts for OT student?

Any suggestions on inexpensive gifts for a student occupational therapist about to go on placement.

A relaxation pack for the evening (hot chocolate, light novel etc) A tape measure if placement is in physical health.

Small note book, coffee mug, something to take their lunch in

A nice fob watch and a coffee flask/water bottle

Black pens as all written formal notes should be in black.

A nice lanyard (but make sure it’s a safety one that breaks away easily)

A cheap watch if they don’t already use one.

If going out into the community or on pre discharge visits a DIY metal one is fine (for measuring door widths, height of bed etc) if in hand therapy or doing any splinting a fabric one like has been suggested. Bright or distinctive so not misplaced recc.

I second a tape measure. Im an OT. I had a fancy floral one given to me and it’s always on my person when working. (Community setting).
Nice notebook with a pencil holder.
Fob watch is useful in hospital settings and usually lower arms have to be bare to the elbow.

Fancy tape measure, I like the fabric ones. Nice note books - you can get OT specific ones 'my super power is OT - what's yours' etc. pens (black). Comfortable black shoes. Roka medium size bag. Hair clip (hair has to be tied back for placements). Fancy hand cream. Nice bubble bath / face mask etc for a DIY pamper night. Massage. Spa day. Subscription to Grammerly.
