I have not very long hair!! But I've decided I want to grow ( try ) enough to donate to little princess trust however my hair doesn't grow fast at all !
I've stopped straightening it to try and help it be better condition and use a heat spray to blow dry but any tips on how to get it to grow quicker naturally ?
I also have layers so I'll need to grow it to an all same length !

Rosemary oil - but it has to be the right kind as there are different strains of rosemary or rosemary water - boil fresh or dried rosemary up in water.

Or rice water - various Asian recipes for this.

Castor oil. Works on eyelashes, definitely.

Rosemary seems to have the best evidence scientifically. The downside is that it does combine with your natural hair smell to give off a kind of roast lamb dinner effluvia.

Then there's protective hairstyles and wearing a silk bonnet. I've had various times in my life when I've lost a lot of hair - to the point of being nearly bald at one point but I've got it back to really thick and past waist length now again although it has changed colour quite a bit and gone straighter and curlier depending on its mood. It's naturally ginger/red so variation will occur apparently.

A Mason Pearson hairbrush is lovely if you don't have one.

Thankyou for what you are doing and good luck!

Have you read their guidance?

If not suggest you do. There is a min length that's viable but tbh where they struggle most is for longer donations of hair.

Hair can't be coloured nor grey. To send it needs to be clean and without any products, tied in bundles.

My DS has made quite a few donations and it's easier for him to give a longer amount as he goes from long to buzz cut all over (and his hair grows quickly), rather than being bothered about having any hair left himself.
