Please recommend a slow cooker to me?

I need to replace mine. Probably going to stick with a 6.5l one.

I have an induction hob so it looks like the ones that can sear don’t work for me. Is this a really good feature? As I’ve seen one crockpot one that does work on an induction hob but of course it is more expensive.

I would definitely go for the type you can sear in. I changed mine for this type a while ago and it’s been brilliant. Saves on the washing up too.

@Rogerstreasures i just never bother searing anything when i use mine 🫣 I’ve read it definitely makes a difference to flavour though

I splashed out and bought the ninja one - it's expensive for a slow cooker but I love it.

The ninja has a sear setting so you don't need the hob. I do use that now when I didn't bother searing when I had to do in the hobs

Definitely adds to the flavour, I sear stewing steak and vegetables in mine to make a steak and ale pie filling.

Which model did you choose? TIA

I can't answer exactly the question that you're asking, but here's my tuppence. I have a crock pot and it is not as good as the previous one I had from Sainsburys.

In what way?

The food always burns on in a couple of places.
