Is it normal to still be affected my migraine one week later?

A week ago I had a particularly violent migraine and then started my period the next day (nearly 2 weeks early, I might add.) anyway, it's 7 days later and I still feel knocked out and can still feel the 'echo' of the headache. Anybody else with migraine have post-migraine symptoms drag on this long! Thanks

Are you prescribed things for migraine? I sometimes wonder if I get a medication hangover as much as a migraine hangover. I think a postdrome can definitely last at least a few days after a horrible migraine, but it’s always worth mentioning to your GP if your migraines change.

Hope your’re feeling better soon. Recommend magnesium and electrolyte drinks during/after a migraine in case you aren’t already using them!

It’s very common. It’s the last phase of a migraine attack.

Thank you. I was prescribed triptans but I found they didn't work as well as migraleve! Reassuring to know it's common thank you

Not uncommon at all sadly. I also agree it can sometimes be the meds. They often make me feel even sicker.
