EVRI have delivered to completely wrong address. What will happen?

£££ parcel out for delivery today. I was at home waiting for it.

I then get a notification that it had been delivered along with a photo of some random's front door. GPS location on 'proof of delivery' takes me to a house on street near mine but door doesn't match the photo at all. Knocked and they, of course, didn't have it.

I've reported to EVRI and to the retailer.

Am irrationally worrying that I won't get a replacement or a refund.

Is it the retailer who ultimately has to refund or replace? Will it be a quick resolution or could it be long drawn out?

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Fucking EVRI 😤😭

Your contract is with whoever you purchased from and their contract is with Evri so until you have the item its their problem.

Evri have lost DS2's main Christmas present. I've had to buy another one. I'm hoping to get the money back once they've got their arses in gear 🙄

3 x parcels this week alone delivered to god knows where. Photos on tracking definitely not my house, and neighbours don’t have.

can’t get an answer from EVRI as to how they can communicate this error to the driver. Am I doomed to lose every single fucking parcel?

if I know this shower of incompetents are the carrier of choice I just won’t make the order in future…

I mistakenly accepted an Evri delivery this afternoon (I was expecting a parcel) and it turned out to be for someone else on our street.

This happened with an eBay item.

eBay refunded me (seller accused me of lying).

Took a while, though.

It happens to me often with a different courier that I refuse to buy from sites which use them.
Email all info including your order number to the retailer and they will refund you, hopefully very soon
.i'm sure they're used to it
