What famous people would 9yr olds know?

Planning a sleepover party for DD with five of her friends, all aged 9 / 10 and I am prepping a bunch of games.

One of the games is Who Am I where you stick the name of someone famous on their forehead and then they have to guess who they are by asking yes or no questions to the rest of the group.

I'm struggling to think of people and characters they will all know! So far I have:
Taylor Swift
Harry Potter
Ed Sheeran
Elsa from Frozen
The King
Dwayne the Rock Johnson
Their teacher
Donald Trump

I need around 10-15 more names where there is a good chance most of them will know who it is - all suggestions gratefully received.

Don't use their teacher, it could turn into mean or rude descriptions of them.

I'd focus on fictional characters in TV, Books or films.

Nitw1t · 27/11/2024 15:04

Interesting and weirdly tricky. There's lots of people here my 8 and 10 year old wouldn't know at all.

Historical
Henry 8th
Neil Armstrong
Queen Elizabeth (1 or 2)

My kids are weirdly obsessed with
Jeffery Bezos
Elon Musk
Bear Grylls

CBBC people
Mr maker?
Steve Backshall

Other fictional characters
Moana
Ariel etc
The BFG
Matilda
Batman etc

Goodness me Ive produced a depressingly stale, male, pale list!

SausageRoll2020 · 27/11/2024 17:27

Surely part of the fun of that game is thinking up the name to stick on your friend's head?
Just let the kids think of the names themselves, maybe with one or two suggestions from you to get them started.
