Metanium yellow cream - expired still okay to use?

So I'm sure everyone now knows about the Metanium yellow cream being discontinued - absolutely gutted as finished off my last tube around a week ago on my DS. I mainly use it for my DD who is disabled and still in nappies. I've managed to thankfully find over half a tube of it in her bedroom, but it expired in 2023. Will it still be okay to use? It works so well, but not sure if it would still be okay? It smells fine and has had a lid on the whole time. Wouldn't even be asking if I wasn't desperate!

Also any other recommendations? We've tried so many creams over the years but always came back to Metanium. So wish I'd bought more now, never mind. Sad Thank you.

It’s fine, I’ve got tubes I’ve had for years. Shame they’re discontinuing it, there isn’t anything quite like it.

Why are they discontinuing it? It's the only one that worked when mine were little.

It'll be fine.

It's also still in stock in a lot of places so stock up if you can.
@greenose apparently problems sourcing the ingredients for it.
