What do your Year 6 girls donate break time at school?

My friends daughter in Year 6 say they just stand around chatting!

Have things changed that much that girls that age don't still play at break times??

Goes to the library. Chats. Swaps pens. Does hairstyles. Plays ping pong. Eats her snack. Doodles and draws. Writes notes for her friends. Makes up dance routines. Sometimes extra music or sports practice.

As a primary school teacher I can tell you that year 6 is a complete mix of girls who play football with the boys, girls who do gymnastics on the trim trail and mats, girls who go and ‘look after’ the little ones, girls who wonder round asking if teachers have any jobs, girls who hide in the toilets and slather skin care products on, girls who sit about drawing and girls that just have a chat.
Sometimes there is a game of tag, but things like what’s the time mr wolf and role playing have generally gone by year 6.
