So I love this for her and her imaginative play is so nice to listen to.

i loved playing with dolls as a child right up until I left primary school but obviously that was a while ago.

shes asked for dolls and a dolls house for Christmas. I guess I’m just checking that this is ok? 🙈. None of her school friends like dolls or even playing anymore 😢

I asked for a doll for Christmas at about this age and got one. Her name was Suzie and she was much more life like than my Tiny Tears and I loved her 😆 Suspect I didn't broadcast any of this to my friends.

Absolutely!!! Let her be a child!!
My dad will be 8 in a few weeks and I was over the moon she asked for dolls for Christmas. I will encourage it as long as I can.
I remember getting a baby Annabelle just before I turned 10 for Christmas and I loved it so much!!

A child in her class made a comment to her that bluey was for babies when she said she liked watching it. That same girl told my dd she's getting a phone for Christmas. Madness at 8 years old.

What @Twintrouble1234 says. My daughter loves her dolls too at 12, but wont play with them with her friends.
Image plays with a couple of them and loves dressing them etc. I buy baby clothes for the dolls. I totally love that she still plays with them, but if her friends found out she would stop tomorrow!

I think it’s still young enough to like playing with dolls, as long as you don’t mind spending money on the gifts for her, which I presume you don’t. Don’t let her grow up too quick I think it’s way too young for 11 year old girls to be into iPhones and makeup, it’s all just peer pressure, advertising and noise.

I can remember asking for My Little Ponies for my 11th birthday. It was in the summer holidays between years 6 and 7, and I’d spent a happy year 6 playing with my existing ones with my friends at school at lunch times. I was devastated when I went back in September to find everyone else had moved on to Smash Hits and make up.

I still played with my ponies, but at home, in private. I still feel a bit sad for 11 year old me.
