Getting rid of cold/sinus pain.

I came down with a cold yesterday, as well as the blocked nose I have facial/sinus pain. We are off in three days for a cruise so I really need to clear this before the flight! Please give me your best tips for clearing a cold! Still breastfeeding so my med options are limited…

Try standing in a hot shower with your face under the jets and massaging your sinus areas a bit. That often works for me. Or any kind of hot compress or steam type situation. Any heat will just soothe and open things up a bit.

Can you use Olbas Oil in hot water for steam inhali? Vicks or Tiger Balm on your forehead, neck and chest? Or Beconase?

Sudafed pressure relief tablets.
Massage your face to release anything clogging up your sinuses. My pharmacist prescribed me some steroid nasal sprays for inflammation too.

The only thing that works for me is Sudafed nasal spray.

I agree Sudafed - the triple action one works like magic. Also facial steamer with one drop of olbas oil (too much burns)
