They love playing with the natural wooden blocks, heuristic play basket and little wooden people, when they come to visit us

I'd love to buy them something similar, but not the same ( as they have those here).
Something with the same flexibility of creative play, or something that can be added to over time.

Ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Magnetic tiles.

They're incredibly flexible, encourage creativity and will expand the play of lots of other toys. For example building animal enclosures, houses, vehicles, race tracks, towns and so on.

A wooden wobble board is quite fun, they get quite creative with them. They’re also at an age where short board games are good. Orchard toys ‘shopping list’ and snakes and ladders are popular here.

Busy googling ‘wobble board’ and magnetic tile. 😀

Magnatiles are brilliant, they get used for years! Don’t be tempted by the cheaper alternatives, they’re not as good.

MagnaTiles look good, if not a bit pricey. Hoping they are quite large tiles so that any build, even the smaller sets, are decent.

The wobble board also looks interesting.

Great suggestions for a conversation with the family.

I also thought of Brio, though we have that here too.
