How’s Your Saturday Night Shaping Up Since Far?

Chilling nicely with DH & DD15 is in a great mood, which lifts ours! We have Asda pizzas for tea (mine is ham, pineapple, sweetcorn & extra cheese ). Might watch a film later as there’s bugger all on tv. I haven’t watched I’m A Celeb this year as I got fed up with the trials last time.
Obviously the title is meant to say “ so far” but I can’t edit it.

Have a poorly 9yo (we've been up since 3am, she's napped a lot, I haven't).

Having a Nandos Deliveroo - due any time and then I'm off to bed.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 23/11/2024 19:11

Just got home from a day out, DS5 conked out in the car so I've just carried him to bed! Scrolling MN and watching Orange Is The New Black currently. I need to get off my arse and pack - heading to the US tomorrow for work - but for now procrastinating seems the better option.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 23/11/2024 19:12

@Crunchymum oh YUM. I haven't had Nando's in forever.

comedycentral · 23/11/2024 19:15

It sounds like you're having a relaxing evening, OP.

My husband has just come in from walking the dog. I've showered and am reading, kids are playing lego upstairs. I'm having buffalo mozzarella pizza from Asda and will watch I'm a Celebrity later. There's a great group this year—no politicians!
What film will you watch?

I hope your 9-year-old feels better soon, crunchy mum.

Have a great work trip, hope the packing goes well.

In PJ's watching MasterChef so busmans holiday really as I'm a chef.🤣
Cats are curled up by me.
DH is away helping DD move to her first house which I don't envy due to the weather,
Be asleep early as I get up at 5.

SprinkleCake · 23/11/2024 19:30

I am very happy relaxing on my sofa with the Christmas tree lights on.
My daughter has a group of friends over and it’s nice to see them all having a great time.

Benshawsberries · 23/11/2024 19:32

Had a lovely rare day with all my teens putting the tree up, having a Harry potterathon and now a takeaway

Decafflatteplease · 23/11/2024 19:34

Lovely evening so far here. Got home from a day out and got the heating on and into our comfies. Just had a takeaway all of us together it was lovely. Going to get the youngest DC to bed now/teens will do their own thing in their rooms and then DH and I are going to open a bottle of wine and watch tv

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 23/11/2024 19:40

Been out at a martial arts event all afternoon. So pretty tired.

Sat in PJs scrolling MN whilst drinking wine and eating wotsits crunchy. DH is on his xbox, keeps vaguely mentioning us watching tv together but hasn't happened yet.

embolass · 23/11/2024 19:41

Had some wine and now a g and t to wash down my Thai red curry. DH sipping on lager waiting for his footie match to start, late kick off which is annoying cause I thought we were going to watch a film. Youngest DS out at friends and oldest DS hungover from last night and being annoying. Browsing on here and for city break ideas next year in Italy. Bed probably 9 o clock as was up with dog for toilet business at 0400 last night 😭

deademptyduck · 23/11/2024 19:42

Been to York for the day to visit my daughter. Now on the train home with the loudest group of drunk geordie women!! Can't wait to be home and rest my eardrums Shock

TheCatCameBack112 · 23/11/2024 19:48

We have had a very chill day, and haven't been over the step as the weather has been grim. I made sea bass, roast and sweet potatoes and cavolo Nero for dinner , with a glass of white wine. We are settling down to watch some more of The Jackal this eve, with perhaps some more wine.

fruitypancake · 23/11/2024 19:53

Premier league football game this afternoon which our team lost- regretted not staying home in the dry. Slow cooked beef casserole for dinner which was delicious and now DH and boys doing a puzzle and j am relaxing on the sofa with the dog - feels almost Sunday like which is nice as then feels like an extra day tomorrow

YesItsMeYesItsMe · 23/11/2024 19:58

Great thanks! Just walked in the door from work and rehearsal and picked myself up a pot noodle on the way home which I really shouldn’t have as trying to avoid gluten but my god I am craving one! Haven’t had one for years!

Baby asleep, DS and kids got duvets out watching strictly. Lush!

weegiemum · 23/11/2024 20:03

Quiet!

I had a regular medical infusion (I have a neurological disorder) on Thursday which leaves me very tired, so I slept until 2:30!! Dh was pootering (so tidying and laundry done) and dc either at work or out with friends.

After I got up I have eaten sandwiches, dozed on sofa, read on my phone and drunk some wine. Dh has been binge watching tv.

Very chilled out.

Natsku · 23/11/2024 20:06

I'm at home waiting to play jackbox with some friends, while also waiting for DD to call me to tell me when her bus is getting close so I can call OH to go pick her up (he's playing guitar at his rehearsal space) as for she won't message him because he's crap at checking messages and she won't call because she's a teenager and using phones for actual phonecalls is a foreign concept to her.

DS fell asleep several hours before bedtime, I had to wake him up after a few hours to get him to eat something and then he wanted to go straight back to bed, so I fear he is getting ill. Not great.

SuperfluousHen · 23/11/2024 20:16

Had a day to myself (first in ages). Got some bad news yesterday so a nice rest this morning, then a walk on the beach followed by a takeaway and a couple of glasses of Guinness. Cosied up in bed now.

IDontLikePinaColadas · 23/11/2024 20:18

We are about to sit down to a cheese fondue by the fire! Figured the weather today called for it.

Dancetildawn · 23/11/2024 20:23

Had a lovely Saturday-this morning went with a friend to choose her Mother of the Bride outfit-all purchased and she looked fabulous.

This afternoon did a spot of online Xmas shopping then read my book for a couple hours.

Dh & I have just got back from a quick dinner at our local Vietnamese restaurant and about to catch up with Strictly and a glass of Baileys

Rocknrollstar · 23/11/2024 21:02

I was at a friend’s birthday party this afternoon. When I came home I changed into a leisure suit and DH made supper. I’m drinking a G and T. We watched Strictly and now I’m waiting for I’m a Celebrity.

mamaduckbone · 23/11/2024 21:25

I'm on a train back from London with Dh. the dcs, ds1's gf and a load of very pissed middle aged notts forest supporters on the way back from the football. They're good humoured but doing my head in.
We've had a mostly lovely day celebrating ds1's birthday, but the weather was a bit shit, Dh was in a weird mood and I'm knackered now. Looking forward to getting home for a cup of tea and my pjs.

Hekii · 23/11/2024 21:34

It was nicely chilled until my 16-year-old dd, out on her first longish distance day trip with her boyfriend, called at 8pm to say all the trains back from that city to ours had been cancelled! And she was going to have to take a different train to a third city, still about the same distance away, to catch a train home. I then spent the next hour tracker the train on the Trainline app as the train she was on got later and later and the connection from the other city back home got tighter and tighter!
But, she made it and is now on an actual train home 😬😬😬

Xyz1234567 · 23/11/2024 21:41

Lots of snow here, so I have not set a foot out of doors all day. Have done the washing, drunk loads of tea and just finished scoffing a delicious home made pizza. Barely seen my husband and 2 kids that still live here all day. Bliss.
I'm now going to check out new series called Crá on the iPlayer. It looks rather promising, so fingers crossed!
