Any idea why my phone won't let me download apps?

It isn't storage.
It isn't updates required (checked both).
I've done all the usual restarting etc

It began when an app required an update and it wouldn't do it. So I uninstalled the (important, work related app). Won't install at all now, if I go to play store it just lets me click but doesn't do anything, and then the same thing with another app(not important as, but annoying as I used it all the time).

Anyone any idea? Do I just need a new phone?

Run out of data?

Watching this thread with interest as I have the same problem with a handful of apps.

It had both apps before? One required an update one didn't. Maybe the one that did?

I'm sure my phone won't let me download apps that aren't playstore verified.

One is my banking app and one is google pay-I'd had both before. It's very odd. Maybe I do just need a new phone altogether. Which is doable but still an expense I can do without! 😡

Even if you’ve had the apps before, there might be an update that’s not supported on your OS. What phone do you have?

Have you tried force stopping the Play Store, then deleting the cache/data? It won't remove your apps, it will just force it to load fresh.
