Simple meals not involving pasta or cheese

As I get older my stomach seems to be becoming more sensitive (is this a thing?) and I don’t think pasta or cheese is that great for me anymore. Any suggestions for quick simple weekday meals that avoid these? I’m not great in the kitchen!

Rice and a simple curry, dal, stir fry etc. Top tip: batch cook rice and freeze quickly into serving size portions rather than buying the sachets of cooked rice, get the rice out the freezer the night before and put in the fridge.

Another quick option is fish, I boil new potatoes;or microwave) toss in butter and herbs, meanwhile steam veg and pan fry fish

Sausage & mash.

Jacket potato with beans, or coleslaw, tuna, chilli etc.

Fish fingers, chips, peas, and roasted cherry tomatoes.

Griddled salmon fillet with couscous and salad (what we had last night).

Traybake with chicken portions, peppers, onions, courgette, mushrooms. There would be enough time to do mini roast potatoes with that, or boiled new potatoes finished off in the oven like mini jackets. You can tuck them into the traybake.

Cottage pie with carrots and broccoli.

Bacon & egg sandwich.

Soup with some nice bread.
