Can you use menthol crystals in the same room as a baby ?

You know the ones you drop in hot water ? They always work so well unblocking noses whenever the older dc have a cold, but not sure if they're okay for a 9 month old baby ? She is so bunged up, I've already raised the head of the cot but it isn't making much difference.

I don't know about your specific ask but saline drops + snufflebabe has just worked wonders on my very bunged up 7month old in case you don't get an answer.
