Christmas present ideas for the 'other' mum?

My wife and I are having a baby in a couple of months and I'm trying to think of (cheap-ish) Christmas present ideas for family, someone suggested something nice for me for when the baby comes.

With our last baby, I did a lot of the very early morning shifts when DW had been feeding in the night so trying to think of something that would be nice for me in that 4.30-7am shift... also thought of a sling/carrier that would work well for me but they're so personal, you can't really tell what works unless you try.

Any other ideas?!

Forgot the important detail, hopefully you picked it up, that DW is carrying and giving birth, so postpartum treats will be for her not me.

I think birth related gifts for the woman giving birth, new baby gifts for baby, whatever you enjoy for you!

I don't understand the title of your thread. Are you wanting to plan what to buy yourself for Christmas? Why does it need to be post birth related if it's for Christmas?

In my extended family we do Christmas lists, to give each other ideas for what we'd like. I was struggling to think of things I'd like and someone suggested something nice for me for when we have a newborn again. I just can't really remember what will improve life in the newborn stage!

A stretchy wrap maybe? Slings are personal but stretchies are suitable from birth, soft and comfortable, good for BF, skin to skin and comfortable post c-section should that be method of birth. A lot of people don’t like the tying but they really are easy once you get the hang of them and within a few months you can get to a sling library and try a different carrier.
