Aviva online quote- how do I NOT auto renew ?

Finally found an ok quote for Car Insurance- from Aviva. All good until I get to the payment bit and can’t see ‘autorenew’ anywhere ie to switch it off.
Anyone know where and how?
At the payment page and haven’t paid yet.
Thanks!!

Can't help with where it is online
But you can call them up or email at any time in the policy period to say that you don't want to renew automatically

And they'll amend it

Lemonade2011 · 19/11/2024 18:04

Just call them. I switched off Tesco one as they were hiking the price right up

I just logged in and cancelled mine (to cancel on expiry) when I got the renewal quote as it was stupid money despite zero claims, and Direct Line were suddenly cheaper. 🧐 I don't think you can do it before you buy the insurance.

I have some policies with Aviva. You can cancel auto-renew on the My Aviva app.

Ive heard horror stories about big charges if you make any changes to your policy- for any company- even online- so if I go in to change it will I be charged £26 or something?
Thanks

You won't be charged to say no to automatic renewal.
The admin fee to make a change to a policy is for example if you change your occupation or your car etc etc.
Not to questions like this.
The FCA brought in that all insurance companies had to give the customer the right to opt out of automatic renewal at any time

Thank you, that’s a relief! So I’ll buy it and then make sure I switch off auto renew!
