DHL delivery - said attempted delivery, but didn't

I'm so tired of this bullshit - I needed to go out, but got a whatsapp from DHL about 50 mins ago saying my parcel will arrive soon, even giving a tracking map - they were about 10-15 mins away. Didn't go out, sat here waiting and then just now got a whatsapp saying delivery attempted and nobody home. Not only am I home, at the front, ground floor, completely clear windows, I have a dog inside with me who hears people before they get to the front door and barks!

DHL absolutely haven't been here. I don't know how they get away with messing people around like this. Rant over!

Have they got the correct address?

That would infuriate me too!

I get this too, from Amazon deliveries too. I suspect it’s because they’re running late and get penalties if not punctual so easier to skip deliveries and send a message.
I rarely go out, have a noisy dog and clear view from the house- I’ve watched them drive buy minutes before getting the message 😡🤬

They re-delivered today.

The guy didn't ring the doorbell or knock, just left it on the mat outside - but the dog knew he was there so I opened the door and the guy just beetled off when I opened the door. The package was crushed - shoe print on it.

I don't even remember the last time I had anything delivered from DHL so I can't have done anything to piss them off. I haven't even reported the lying driver from yesterday or the fact that the package had clearly been stamped on.

Will be avoiding DHL where I can. Amazon are great in my area so will try to stick to them instead.
