This is our second night and we were a the last house for a long time - DH 15 and me 8 years

W have moved to a different how of house and it is bigger yer nothing seems to fit!

How long did it take to unpack?

I have more or less done the kitchen but lost is missing (bin liner wtf have I done with then and the dishwasher tablets?

DH built he sofas and out the TV up today and we move some outside stuff from our previous home ( we have a week to move)

I'm so please we did not have people
Moving straight in to the old house on completion day

Benefits are I'm super happy and it feels
Like home.

But the rest is horrendous. Nothing is in the right room

We are still unpacking although we are somewhat straight now.

We moved here in 2014!

When we moved, i just wanted to get everything sorted as quickly as possible. So we did several quite late nights just unpacking boxes and getting sorted. We were done in about a week. Just keep plugging away at those boxes /sorting out!

We rent, so have moving and stuff to a fine art. I refuse to go to bed until everything is in its place. We usually get to bed before 2 am with everything done. We do use movers though.

We’ e downsized and for rid of loads of stuff beforehand, but it’s still utter chaos here., after five days. It’s a new house, so we need blinds, curtains, toilet roll holders, towel rails and goodness knows what else. Clothes are still in the packing robes, because there are no wardrobes and will be for a while.

Its beginning to get me down now.

I packed and labelled each room kitchen being the worst one to pack but was the one I focused on unpacking straight away. Beds had clean bedding already in a bag in the car to literally chucked clean sheets on the mattresses popped pillows on and duvets. Tv was put on the unit in the lounge. Taken just over a week to put everything in place but I was back at work the day after we moved in.

We moved end of August, we still have boxes. We are taking our time and doing one room at a time. We're also enjoy buying furniture second hand so we can't rush that.
