Are there Black Friday deals on phone contracts?

I’m overdue an upgrade on my phone contract. I went in the EE shop yesterday and they’ve given me some quotes on a new phone. I’m not a huge phone user, don’t really do the socials, so use about 1.5g a month of data. Don’t really understand a lot of the terminology 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 don’t need a top of the range phone but want a fairly decent one to last. I’ve been quoted between £50-£60 a month. If I waited a week would there be any deals for Black Friday? Wasn’t sure if phone companies do deals given it’s on contracts?

Have you looked at Tesco?

No i’m one of these loyal customers who has paid over the odds probably by staying with the same company for years.

Have a look at Tesco. I'm helping an older family member get a new phone and I had a look in Tesco yesterday. Some really good phones for about £100 to £150 to buy the phone, then £9 a month for the SIM. I was quite impressed!

You don't have to buy a phone on contract, although the providers would love you to because they get more money from you.
Buy an unlocked phone from somewhere like amazon, even if you need to get a loan. Then you can shop around for the best cheap airtime deal, and keep the phone longer if you want. Much cheaper in the longer term.
