Child disability Payment

Hi all new here.

I did post in Scotsnet but didn’t get much intrest

need a little help my son has been transferred over to child disability payment from DLA and his claim runs out this coming December!
I have sent away a change of circumstances to child disability payment at the start of October, has anyone recently went through this process and knows how long it’s currently taking? My friends mum recently when through the process with adult disability payment and took around 4/5 months calling up is no help I always seem to get the same women and she says they don’t give updates as much now.. I’ve had lots of updates before when I’ve called when it’s not the same lady.

@Sheryl1234 i am still waiting on coc. I did it in August last year. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I did a review in Jan but when you follow the steps online it puts it as a coc of there are any changes. I got a letter at the beginning of April saying the award had stayed the same. I was pushing for HRM but didn’t get it. I’m not rocking any boats by asking for a redetermination because he gets HRC but I do feel he should have been awarded HRM at this stage.

Yeah it’s Defos a long wait ridiculous really av done the web chat last week n the man was so rude a ended up ending the chat🙈

Hi can i just check essentially is a coc form and a review form got all the same questions in it

I applied for a change of circumstances last June and I have just been notified that my decision letter will be sent tomorrow

@drippingtapp can I ask roughly when you did your review in January, I did a coc last August. I’ve since had to do my lg review in July. Still waiting on them looking at them both. Just trying to work out time frame for reviews. Thanks

I had a renewal confirmation at the end of July. They'd received the documents in April 2024.

Hi done a cdp application 9th March and picked up by case manager last week who called for supporting information and some general questions they have received my documents does anyone no how long now before a decision is made
