I can't believe this advert for a museum in Chester, it's all over their social media!
Sick to death 'Christmas' advert
It's so gory, they're ruining Christmas!

OP posts:

Loads of posts about this popping up.
But yes, the whole of Christmas is ruined now - I am sending all presents back and burning my tree

aesoplover · 15/11/2024 15:39

Gory?

TwattyMcFuckFace · 15/11/2024 15:44

Love it!! 🤣🤣

MillyMichaelson · 15/11/2024 15:48

It's literally for a museum called Sick To Death which is all about diseases etc. What the hell is wrong with their very on brand Christmas promo?

GameOfJones · 15/11/2024 15:48

I don't get the issue with it to be honest. Is it really a museum for little children given it advertises itself as being all about the gory side of medieval death and disease? I don't see why any child would even see the advert on social media anyway? And it is not gory at all.

Singleandproud · 15/11/2024 15:49

That's is amazing!

OP I assume you weren't actually being serious and just posted to boost traffic, but in the unlikely event you were serious. ...It's aimed at adults it hasn't ruined anyone's Christmas and is genius. Hopefully it boosts visitor numbers for them.

TheRutshireWI · 15/11/2024 15:50

I laughed 😂 good spot op 👍🏻

ObtuseMoose · 15/11/2024 15:51

Best thing I've ever seen happen to the creepy little fucker elf.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 15/11/2024 15:51

That’s awesome.

I’m a big fan of Plague Doctors. I know their methods didn’t work but they did their best during an incredibly difficult period.

Plus, they look like Goth Wombles.

And the wombles had a Wombling Merry Christmas and so should you!

GiddyRobin · 15/11/2024 17:58

Fantastic! I love this, and it's a brilliant museum! We took the kids ages ago and they bloody loved it. 😁

Besides, Christmas and spooky/eerie goes hand in hand. Scrooge for one. Krampus. My favourite thing to do during that week is grab a book of ghost stories and scare myself silly!

QuillBill · 15/11/2024 20:47

My dd (18) is terrified of plague doctors after unexpectedly encountering one in a 'plague village'. So I wouldn't recommend this museum to her but I bet most kids would love it.
