When did you all start furnishing your nursery

I just found out I am pregnant (3 to 4 weeks) and I own a small 2 bed flat. The second bedroom has functioned as a sort of study/room for my gerbils (who are very spoiled and live in a 1.5m cage). Second bedroom also has a single bed in it. My gerbils are 2 years and 3 months old and gerbils have a lifespan of 3 to 4 years so they would have reached their natural lifespan by the time baby is 1 and ready to move into the nursery. I am downsizing their cage to a 1m cage to make space for baby stuff.

But I am really keen to have a proper nursery even though baby wouldn't sleep in it now. Did you all clear out the room before baby was born or did you do it after baby was born?

We also lived in a two-bedroom flat when DD was born. We just made space for her cot and shelves in our bedroom, and then had toys in the living room. Eventually we moved into the smaller bedroom, swapping a sofa for the double bed. Toys then mainly lived in her bedroom. So she never had a nursery as such, and I can’t honestly say I spent a lot of time worrying about this.
Congratulations btw Flowers
