DS 14 wants some warm slippers, but I'm a bit concerned they will smell and I won't be able to wash and dry them easily. Until now, I've always given him thick over sock type slippers but he's saying he wants a pair and has shown me a pair of wool/sheepskin ones. I wear crocs, I even have a fleece lined pair I wear in winter (which are a pain to wash) but he doesn't want that type, he wants something less clumpy.
I'm pretty sure he'll make a racket with any open backed type on the tiled floors which will drive DH and me crazy, but all the ones I've seem look like they're the sort of thing my grandfather would have worn!
I don't mind paying for a decent pair as he so rarely asks for anything, but not willing to spend loads.
